Nitrogen

All Nitrogen fertilizers are made from ammonia (NH3), which is often injected into the ground directly. The Ammonia is produced via the Haber-Bosch process. In this energy-intensive process Ammonia is synthesised with Hydrogen derived from natural gas (CH4) and Nitrogen (N2) derived from the air. This Ammonia is used as a feedstock for all other Nitrogen fertilizers, such as Anhydrous Ammonium Nitrate (NH4NO3) and Urea (CO(NH2)2).

Allied Harvest is one of the world’s most active traders of Nitrogen fertilizers in both solid and liquid form, with an export capacity 300,000-600,000 tons of Nitrogen per year. Allied Harvest ships product from multiple points of origin, including China and other Asian countries.
